1The price you pay for the book.
2The amount I have to discount the retail price for retailers who sell the book. 55% is standard, 47% is considered a short discount.

5The compensation I receive from the printer when the book is sold.
6The amount that my company receives as profit on the sale of the book (40% of the compensation amount).
7The amount of royalty I pay to the author (60% of the compensation amount)
8The costs to publish the book, which include file upload and revision costs paid to the printer, as well as the cost of the ISBN. This does not include the time for design, layout and editing.
9The number of books I would have to sell to make a profit.
10The number of books I have sold to date. I currently don't have the resources for marketing.
